Save on Energy recently updated its flagship Energy Retrofit program and introduced a new incentive program for certain areas of Toronto.

With a mix of old and new buildings, Toronto has many opportunities for energy projects.
With a mix of old and new buildings, Toronto has many opportunities for energy projects.

The Energy Retrofit program is run by the IESO through Save on Energy and helps Ontarians save money on energy saving retrofits. The update to the Energy Retrofit program includes new measures to the already extensive list along with adjustments to existing measures and higher tiers for existing measures like motors and VFDs. These changes open new possibilities for energy projects and strengthen business cases for equipment replacement. For a list of the changes see Save On Energy's update.

The new BizEnergySaver program focuses on improving energy efficiency in the Richview South are of Toronto for MURBs, industrial, commercial, and institutional participants. This program aims to alleviate energy and distribution limits in the area through equipment upgrades and other opportunities found through energy studies. For more details including map of eligible area see the program page.
