ZEVIP EV Charger Incentive is Back

Natural Resources Canada has opened its Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) for another round of proposal intake until August 11.

What is ZEVIP?

The ZEVIP is a funding program for EV chargers and hydrogen refueling stations in multi-unit residential buildings, workplaces, light vehicle fleets, public places, and on-street charging that aims to support Canada's growing EV adoption rate.

The program will fund up to 50% of total project costs up to $5 million per project with a total funding pool of $680 million ending in 2027. Over $35 million nation-wide has already been committed by the program, with over $15 million of that in Ontario. With the majority of its accepted projects already under construction, the program will likely ramp up and become more competitive over its lifetime as more successful projects reach completion. As this program's previous intake wave was on a first-come-first served basis it is important to sort out your project details and get your application in ASAP.
